Temperature and conductivity recorder in salt water U24-002-C
THE'data recorder HOBO U24-002-C is one economic system designed to measure the salinity, the conductivity and temperature in environments of'salt water presentation changes in salinity relatively low (± 5,000 μS/cm).
It is particularly useful to monitor areas such as salt water berry, detect salinity events such as salt water risers rainstorms and landfills.
This data can also be used in conjunction with data from the'dissolved oxygen recorder HOBO U26 to monitor the percentage de saturation en dissolved oxygen.
Important:
Requires configuration and unloading of data :
- Software HOBOware Pro
- The optical USB base station Base-U-4
THE'recorder de temperature and conductivity en salt water U24-002-C is a data recorder economic to measure the salinity, the conductivity and temperature in environment'salt water with changes in salinity relatively low (± 5,000 μS/cm) such as salt water berry, or to detect events of salinity such as salt water risers rainstorms and landfills.
Data for this recorder can be used with data from'dissolved oxygen recorder HOBO U26 to monitor the % saturation en dissolved oxygen.
Note:
When monitoring the salinity in waters with a variation of more than ± 5,000 uS/cm, refer to the accuracy indicated in line C in the product specifications to determine if the accuracy is acceptable for your needs.
Des calibration readings monthly in the field are usually necessary to obtain the better accuracy.
Technical specifications:
- Contactless sensor offers long service life
- Easy access to the sensor to clean and remove air bubbles
- Two user selectable ranges provide measurements from 100 to 55 000 uS/cm.
- Delrin case will not corrode in salt water
- Software HOBOware Pro allows calibration of the starting/arrival point to compensate for any soiling and allows easy conversion to specific conductance and salinity using the practical salinity scale 1978 (PSS-78).
- The USB optical interface allows fast and reliable discharge of salinity data into wet environments
- Compatible with the HOBO waterproof shuttle for easy and reliable data recovery and transport
- The non-contact sensor with titanium pentoxide coating prevents the sensor from coming into contact with water, thus preventing the tarnishing or corrosion associated with conventional electrode sensors, the coating of the sensor is inert, so that the soiling can be easily wiped out
Recorder Features:
- Measurements: actual conductivity, temperature, specific conductance at 25 °C (calculated), salinity (calculated using PSS-78, practical salinity scale 1978)
- Conductivity measurement range (calibrated range):
High range: 5,000 to 55 000 uS/cm
Low range: 100 to 10,000 uS/cm
Over the range of 5 to 35 °C (41 to 95 °F)
- Temperature measurement range: 5 to 35 C (41 to 95 F)
- Specific conductance accuracy (in the calibrated range using the conductivity assistant and calibration measurements):
Low range: 3 % of reading or 50 μS/cm, whichever is higher.
High range: 5% of reading in waters within a range of ± 3,000 μS/cm; waters with greater variation may have a considerably greater error (see route C)
- Conductivity resolution: 2 uS/cm
- Temperature accuracy: 0.1°C (0.2°F) at 25°C (77°F)
- Temperature resolution: 0.01°C (0.02°F)
- Conductivity drift: up to 12% sensor drift per month, excluding drift due to soiling. Monthly calibration of start and end points should be used with the HOBOware conductivity assistant to obtain the specified specific conductance accuracy.
- Response time: 1 second to 90% of change (in water)
- Operating range: -2 to 36 °C (28 to 97 °F) - without frost
- Memory: 18,500 measurements of temperature and conductivity when using a conductivity range; 11,500 series of measurements when using the two conductivity ranges (total memory of 64 Kb)
- Sampling frequency: 1 second at 18 hours, sampling at fixed or multiple rates with up to 8 sampling intervals defined by the user
- Accuracy of the clock: +/- 1 minute per month
- Battery life: 3 years (@ 1 min registration)
