DAVIS anemometer adapter for HOBOnet network RXW-WCF-868
THE'davis anemometer adapter is one wireless sensor HOBOnet which records the speed gusts and wind direction, with a staff without fhe 450 to 600 metres. The data may be transmitted directly to HOBO RX3000 or to hOBO MicroRX station and are accessible via the platform cloud innovative HOBOlink.
Important:
For a complete system of monitoring distance with HOBOnet, it requires at least one HOBO RX3000 or MicroRX station incorporating a wireless manager HOBOnet, a wireless sensor HOBOnet and wireless repeaters HOBOnet to extend the range.
THE'davis anemometer adapter is one wireless sensor that works with HOBOnet to record the wind speed, wind gusts and wind direction. The sensors wireless HOBOnet communicates data directly to HOBO RX3000 or to hOBO MicroRX station or transmit data via other wireless sensors to the central station.
They are preconfigured and ready for deployment, and data are accessible via HOBOlink, the innovative software platform based on cloud of'Onset.
Sensor characteristics:
- Provides the average wind speed, the maximum wind gust of 3 seconds and the average wind direction for the measurement interval
- Designed to meet World Meteorological Organization (WMO) guidelines
1. Wind speed / gust:
- Measuring range: 0 to 76 m/s (0 to 170 mph)
- Accuracy: ±1.1 m/sec (±2 mph) or ±5% of reading according to the highest value
- Resolution: 0.5 m/s (1.1 mph)
- Starting threshold: ≤ 1 m/s (2.2 mph)
- Steering radius: 108 mm (4.25 inches)
- Definition of measurement: the cup revolutions are accumulated every three seconds during the recording interval.
Wind speed: average speed for the full recording interval.
Speed of gust: the highest wind over three seconds recorded during the recording interval.
2. Wind direction:
- Measuring range: 0 to 355 degrees
- Accuracy: ±7 degrees
- Resolution: 1.4 degrees (0 to 355 degrees)
- Starting threshold: 1 m/s (2.2 mph)
- Steering radius: approximately 135 mm (5.25 inches)
- Definition of measurement: the unit vector average used, vector components for each wind measurement are calculated every three seconds for the duration of the recording interval.
