DAVIS sensor adapter speed and wind direction for HOBOnet network RXW-WCG-868
THE'davis sensor adapter, to ultrasound and wireless measures precisely the speed and wind direction and works with HOBOnet.
Compact and robust, it can measure very low wind speeds, up to 0.4 m/s, with a wireless reach 450 to 600 metres.
Important:
A complete system requires monitoring station remote HOBO RX3000, one wireless manager HOBOnet and one wireless sensor HOBOnet or a microRX station HOBO and one wireless sensor HOBOnet, with the possibility of adding wireless repeaters HOBOnet to extend the range.
THE'davis sensor adapter is a speed sensor and wind direction wireless ultrasound that works with HOBOnet.
Compact and robust, without moving parts, this ultrasonic sensor can measure speeds of very low wind, up to 0.4 m/s (compared to 1.0 m/s for our mechanical sensors).
The wireless sensors HOBOnet communicates the data directly to the HOBO RX3000 or to hOBO MicroRX station or transmit data via other wireless sensors to the central station.
They are preconfigured and ready for deployment, the data are accessible via HOBOlink, the innovative cloud software platform of'Onset.

1. Wind speed / gust:
- Measuring range: 0 to 41.16 m/s (0 to 92.07 mph)
- Accuracy ±0.8 m/s (1.79 mph) or ±4 per cent of reading, whichever is higher
- Resolution: 0.4 m/s (0.89 mph)
- Definition of measurement: wind speed readings are taken every three seconds during the recording interval.
Wind speed: average speed for the entire recording interval.
Speed of gust : the highest wind over three seconds recorded during the recording interval.

- Accuracy :
0.2-3 m/s (0.44-6.7 mph): ±4 degrees

- Definition of measurement: unit vector average used; vector components for each wind measurement are calculated every three seconds for the duration of the recording interval (see Measurement Operation)
