Mini 20A T-MAG-0400-20 Current Sensor

The mini current sensor T-MAG-0400-20 is a split core sensor which accurately measures the ac until 20 Amperes including forms of'non-sine waves, for the electricity consumption monitoring and other similar applications.
Compact and easy to install, it is often used in conjunction with hOBO data recorders via the flexSmart TRMS module and kWh transducers to get specific measures of the'amperage and of energy consumption.

Description

The T-MAG-0400-20 is one current sensor (Current Transformer) with split core designed to measure the'amperage en ac (CA).
It is usually used in conjunction with data recorders HOBO, in particular via the module FlexSmart TRMS, as well as kWh transducers (WattNodes) to measure accurately the forms of'sinusoid waves and non-sinusoidal de electric current.

Alternative Current Measurement (AC): The T-MAG-0400-20 is a power transformer, which means it is designed to measure alternating electric current rather than direct current (DC). It is commonly used in CA electric current measurement applications such as power consumption monitoring, detection of electrical problems, etc.

Divided core: The transformer is split core, which means that it can be opened and fixed around a current carrier wire without having to cut or disconnect the wire itself. This greatly facilitates the installation of the electrical circuit without interruption.

Accurate current measurement: The transformer is specifically calibrated for a current range of 20 amperes (20 A). It provides an output proportional to the current circulating in the carrier wire. This output can then be read by a HOBO data recorder via the FlexSmart TRMS module.

True RMS measure: The reference to "True RMS" means that this transformer is capable of accurately measuring the waveforms of the current, whether sinusoidal or not sinusoidal. Electrical current in many real applications may not be a simple sinusoid, it may be distorted or present harmonics. This transformer is designed to accurately capture these variations.

Use with kWh transducers (WattNodes): It can be coupled with energy measuring transducers (kWh) such as WattNodes. These transducers measure energy consumption according to the measured current, thus monitoring the actual electrical consumption of devices or systems.
